As an ancient Roman settlement, Nyon preserves many vestiges of the past and offers two museums to those interested in history, science and nature. A wide range of hotels and restaurants are ideally equipped to accommodate and organise a stay for holidaymakers, groups, seminars and congresses.
Halfway between Geneva and Lausanne on the shores of Lake Léman (Lake Geneva) and facing the Mont-Blanc, Nyon is set in a region which offers many possibilities for outdoor activities and relaxation, and proposes a wide choice of cultural activities, highlighted by several annual events, such as the Nyon Paléo Festival, Visions du Réel or the International Documentary Film Festival and the Far Festival.
